Inauguration of the Pasuruan-Probolinggo toll road by President Joko Widodo


On April 10, 2019, the Pasuruan Probolinggo (Paspro) toll road segment was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo. The inauguration took place at the East Probolinggo Toll Gate, East Java. The concession right of the Pasuruan-Probolinggo toll road section is owned by PT Trans Jawa Paspro Jalan Tol, which is one of the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) owned by PT Waskita Toll Road (WTR). This toll road is part of the Trans Java cluster 4 toll road network that connects Pasuruan Regency to Probolinggo Regency, where the Trans Java Toll Road is also a National Strategic Project (PSN).

The construction process of the Pasuruan Probolinggo (Paspro) toll road began in 2016. During the 2018 Christmas and 2019 New Year holiday period, the Paspro toll road has been opened functionally. Paspro Toll Road has 3 operating sections, namely Section I (IC Grati-IC Tongas), Section II (IC Tongas-IC West Probolinggo) and Section III (IC Probolinggo Barat-Probolinggo Timur) with an overall length of 31.3 kilometers and value investment of Rp. 4.6 trillion. At present, the remaining sections of the Paspro toll road namely Section IV (IC Probolinggo Timur-IC Gending) are in the stage of land acquisition and are expected to be operational immediately following 3 (three) other sections, so that it can be used during the Eid 2019 homecoming period.

In addition to increasing the contribution of WTR through its subsidiaries to fulfill the needs of toll roads, especially the Trans Java toll road which is a PSN, Mr. Ir. Herwidiakto, M.Tech as the President Director of WTR also expects that this toll road can be optimally useful to trigger the economic growth of the Indonesian people, especially the people around the Paspro toll road section.
